Looking for signs... and two visits by Tootsie

Chatters watched and noticed possible signs regarding Dale's "eggnant" (™ LvOwls) condition, including some owl puffiness, an extremely quiet stance and role reversal as Dale remained in the box mostly, and Roy on the porch.

A few treats were brought in by Roy, gulped by Dale..

1:30ish brought us the first of two noted visits by Tootsie (The Other Owl That Stops In Everyday)

Dale charged Tootsie while Roy watched casually from his stance on the porch - Hey, he can't help it if his Love Song brings the ladies around !

Special Statement: As discussed in chat today, we are pondering a theory as to why eggs have not arrived yet. Some speculation is that the Dale we see now in the box with Roy is not the "original" Dale, but another female that arrived sometime around May 12th. It would explain Roys odd behaviour toward her in the past few weeks.

More speculation is that the 3rd owl trying to return "may" be the first Dale, if this is indeed not the First Dale. Many have looked and examined screenshots, trying to figure out this puzzle. We are pointing out observations and guesses at this point. Below are comparison photos:

1 The barn owl was voted Britain’s favourite farmland bird by the public in an RSPB poll in July 2007.
2 Historically, the barn owl was Britain’s most common owl species, but today only one farm in about 75 can boast a barn owl nest.
3 Barn owls screech, not hoot (that’s tawny owls).
4 The barn owl can fly almost silently. This enables it to hear the slightest sounds made by its rodent prey hidden in deep vegetation while it’s flying up to three metres overhead.
5 The barn owl’s heart-shaped face collects sound in the same way as human ears. Its hearing is the most sensitive of any creature tested.
6 Barn owls are non-territorial. Adults live in overlapping home ranges, each one covering approximately 5,000 hectares. That’s a staggering 12,500 acres or 7,100 football pitches!
